I noticed that the enemy knows which sins make us feel the most guilty, and exploits them to make us shrink back in fear and accuse God. We sin in little ways all the time, and we don't always notice it. But if it's something more personal like a porn or drug addiction, that's where the enemy's accusations come in. Every time these particular sins occur, we must be on guard to remain firm in the truth. Remembering that our flesh is evil, Christ is our righteousness, and we have everything we need in Him and can approach Him boldly at all times.

David it must be exhausting to defend the gospel of grace and the Pauline mystery revealed from the ascended Christ as you continue to and have since the first time I listened to you years ago. There certainly is nothing new under the sun and sadly this will continue until we see the Lord face to face. So appreciate your teaching my brother in Christ. 🙌

I used to go to a church that boasts about 50,000 in attendance every week now. They are definitely considered a megachurch and the pastor retired the day before the world shut down in 2020. I often wondered if it would have been different under him, but then I realized that with all of this has been revealed to me in the past year through grace: Every one of these outfits is a house of cards. A perfectly manicured pastor, standing on the stage in his stage makeup and skinny jeans, giving you his precise 15-minute message (that he rehearsed for 40 hours that week.) The formula for the manipulative music (from Christianity today: "Worship Music Is Emotionally Manipulative. Do You Trust the Leader Plucking the Strings?") the tithes and offerings, the "opportunities" to serve....there is NOTHING resembling fellowshipping from house to house, braking bread, declaring the wonderful works of God and having their needs met. I've been at checkmate for a little while now, and it's actually my prayer for these pastors. That God somehow can bring them to the end of themselves so that they will cry out "Abba, Father."

I think the word "carnal" presents a stumbling block that denotes naughty, lewd and sensual behavior. We then think that only "those types of 'carnal thoughts'" are what derail us, but in reality, the word "earthly" as I have substituted (I wrote 'earthly' in Rom 8:7) is a better fit for me. Even flesh has been meant to give a distasteful meaning, and if you ascribe only the worst conditions you can think to connote its nature, you end up missing the true dichotomy of flesh and spirit. It's as if not trusting God at His Word is somehow a different spiritual plane because you've convinced yourself that your spirit understands the spiritual nature, but only when it comes to understanding your own flesh, and that's where I stop: whats the point of understanding ANYTHING about your flesh (earthly self) - it is 100% AGAINST God. This is why we died, die daily and will continue to die when we renew our minds and regenerate our SPIRIT with truth. I'm not kidding. He was being serious. It's so blatantly heretical and evil. In the comments, I kept arguing that all believers would be saved regardless of their works. It was interesting because saying someone would be saved even if they had a sinful lifestyle made him angry. For some reason, that specifically got him mad. It reminds me of how Cain was angry with Abel or how the prodigal son's brother was angry.

David, I listened to this video again and again the past few days while driving or playing video games and each time I felt a level of fear and stress shed off. Sometimes it really takes some time and repetition to get things from through my memory and into my reality. For me at least, head knowledge can be there, but it takes time for it to really click and become real... God really did reconcile himself to us through the finished work of Jesus Christ.. Only we are the ones that have to really believe and accept this, let the layers and layers of protection we build to fall away and be comfortable and sure in the fact that God isn't out to get us at all, he is our advocate, our father, loves us and wants us not to shrink away and reject him out of fears.. you really have to meditate on the ramifications of this and let it sink in, again and again.. and keep letting it sink in..

I had a stroke 17 years ago and had to learn to read, write, walk and talk again. It has been a deep deep battle but the Lord is my rock and Jesus has saved me and has redeemed me. My trust is in the Lord! I am now going to the gym, kickboxing, boxing, interval training and on the carnivore diet and improving so much. There is power in the blood.
